Pre-Owned "Tartan - Act I - Macleod" Hermès Birkin 30 transformed leather bag

Tartan is a woven patterned cloth largely synonymous with Scotland, ancient evidence of which has been found as far afield as the Taklamakan desert in Northwest China dating back 3,000 years. By the early 18th Century, tartan was worn widely in Scotland but it was not `until the 19th Century that specific tartans came to be used to identify individual Scottish clans with the first official naming and registration of clan tartans starting in 1815. Today the tartan is an integral part of all Scottish clans. This heavy weight pattern inspired by the MacLeod of Lewis tartan that is sometimes also referred to as
Loud MacLeod. This bag is a vintage Hermès Birkin 30 cast in Soleil, first produced in 2009. Detailed with palladium plated hardware it comes with a detachable clochette with two encased keys and a padlock. Featuring round top
handles and a fold-over top with twist-lock closure. The smooth Togo leather gives a soft supple finish for a relaxed contour.
